Do I Need a Permit?
In most cases, no. If your dumpster sits on your own property — driveway or yard — no permit is required. You only need a permit to place a dumpster in a public right-of-way, such as a street or sidewalk (a City of Buffalo street-obstruction permit). Not sure?
